Thank You card for Imagine

Hi ya everyone!  Sorry for my absence.  Myself and my family have been very sick the last few weeks!  I think we are on the mend finally.  Keeping my fingers crossed anyhow.

Today, I'm sharing with you a card for my Artist in Residence spot for Imagine!  I love this team and the products I get to work with.  You might be thinking to yourself, I don't know who Imagine is, but you probably due as they distribute products from Tsukineko like Versafine and Memento Inks.  You might not know however, that they have so many wonderful products of their own too.  I'm on their blog today, sharing how I made the above card.

I also made a video on the process.  You can watch that video below!  Please head over to the Imagine blog and leave some love too!

Lattice Background LOVE - Whimsy Stamp Release

Hi ya everyone!  I'm excited to share with you this creation made with the new Whimsy Lattice Background stamp and Background Buddies stamp set!  These two sets work in perfect harmony and make your lattice background much more versatile.  But the stamp set is truly so easy to use, I made this card in less than a half-hour

I took a simple card base made from Neenah Classic Crest cardstock and stamped the lattice directly on it with Kaleidoscope Berry Blaze ink.  I then added the little cupcakes from the background buddies set.  So cute right???

However, you can completely change the look using some of the other buddy stamps!  I also made this card in very little time using both sets for an Anniversay.

This card was again stamped on the Neenah Classic Crest in Delicata ink, Gold Glitz and Silvery Shimmer.  I then mounted that onto a piece of thin gold paper and onto a cardbase.

I love those Delicata inks for stamping, but I've learned to press the stamp lightly on the paper or you get a bit of over inking.  The ones I pressed lightly were much cleaner stamps.  I used a Celebrate sentiment from SugarPea Designs.

I hope you liked these two simple cards!  Make sure to pick up both the Lattice and Background buddies stamp set to have the coordinating stamps that work great together for multiple cards.  All products are listed below.

Forever and Always - Whimsy Stamp Release Day 4!!!!

It's another release day at Whimsy Stamps!  Check out this adorable bird image, Sweet Love Birds.  I did want them to look like love birds so I found the right colors through a google search!  I stamped them in Memento Ink on Hamermill Color Cover.  I colored them in Copics, taking a lot of time to darken areas to add more contrast.

I spent most of my time coloring this image, so the card design was a bit more simple.  The sentiment is a bit of a sneak from a set that will be coming out in February that I know you will love.

Make sure to go over to the Whimsy blog today and check out the inspiration from the wonderful design team.  Then head over to the shop to pick up some new stamps!

Look on the Bright Side - Whimsy Stencil Release and SugarPea Designs

Hi ya everyone!  I created this fun card using the new stencils from Whimsy Stamps and an adorably underused set of stamps from SugarPea Designs!  I love these cute edison bulb lights.  They are so fun and the sentiments and sentiment fonts are just too perfect.  This card was very simple to make.  I started with a piece of Canson Watercolor Paper cut 4.25 x 5.5 inches.

I then took Sunflower Yellow Brilliance ink and inked up my craft mat.  Then I sprayed the ink with Frost Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray and ran the watercolor paper through the spray ink solution.  I got this gorgeous yellow shimmery background.  Once the paper was dry, I used the Lattice Stencil from Whimsy Stamps, the Sunflower Yellow Brilliance and a sponge dauber and inked the lattice pattern. I cut down the watercolor paper to a 4 x 5.25 at this point to remove some edges.

I think inked up my SugarPea Designs stamps with Versafine Black Onyx ink and stamped the sentiment and bulbs.  I then took my Shimmery Silver Delicate ink and double stamped the light bulbs for a shadow affect.  Had I to do over, I would have stamped the shadows first.  I then added some sparkle with sequence and mounted everything on a black piece of cardstock, then added all to a A2 base.

Thinking of You - Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hi ya everyone!  There is a new challenge at Tiddly Inks...and it's my favorite kind, Anything Goes.  I had colored up this sweet mermaid months ago and was excited to play around with some watercolor, stencils and mixed media supplies.  I colored her in my Copics.

You might be able to tell that my E markers were getting a bit gunky, so the blending is streaky.  I refreshed them with new nibs, more ink and a cleaning.  The background was made using my fabulous twinkling H2O water colors in meridian and Teal zircon on Canson watercolor paper.  The stencil is from Whimsy stamps and was just released.  I dabbed on some luscious Shimmery Silver Delicate ink with the stencil.  I added a bit of twine and ribbon.  I also cut out this sweet doily using a Cheery Lynn designs die.  The sentiment was heat embossed in silver using a SugarPea Designs sentiment from the YOU set.

Head over to Tiddly Inks and join our challenge!
